What is Inktober?
A worldwide artistic challenge initiated in 2009 by illustrator Jake Parker. Every October, he invites creative people from all horizons, whether beginners or experienced, to create one ink work per day, following or not an official list of themes.
The aim is simple: to stimulate creativity, encourage daily practice and improve artistic skills. Drawing regularly allows you to progress, experiment with new techniques and step out of your comfort zone.
Throughout the month, participants can create and share freely: quick sketches, detailed illustrations, lettering or calligraphy. The official list of Inktober 2025 themes serves as a guide, but is by no means obligatory: everyone is free to follow their inspiration.
Accessible to all, this artistic challenge is also a formidable collective adventure. Works are shared on social networks using hashtags such as #Inktober or #Inktober2025, reaching a vast international community of artists and enthusiasts.
Let’s go ! I’m back to my pencils, which I must admit have been abandoned in favor of ceramics …
